Title Transfer Checklist
Transferring a title? Bring these three things and we'll take it from there.
- The title — the seller signs it here, in front of us (not at home)
- Your photo ID
- Proof of insurance
One thing most people get wrong: a seller can't sign the title at home and hand it to the buyer. In Pennsylvania the seller's signature has to be witnessed by an authorized agent — that's us. The buyer and seller don't have to come in together, but the seller does have to sign in front of us.
